Make Up For Ever Lift Concealer Review and Swatches #2 and #3

Everybody wants perfection but nobody's perfect. We try to cover up flaws in various ways, one of them is with concealer. Concealer is used not only as a magic wand to hide or minimize the appearance of blemishes, under eye puffiness, scars, skin discolorations, or other areas of the skin that look less than flawless, it can be used to improve the appearance of features too. There is no reason not to love and play with it but don't go with the wrong product - instead of making the problem areas that you want to hide look better - you may attract attention to it.

There are lot of things going on with our skin after a certain age, we want to conceal imperfections without looking like have little patches dotted over the face. So why not talk about Make Up For Ever Lift Concealer whose formula contains Tensine, an active ingredient with skin-firming properties for the eye area, and vitamins A and E which rejuvenate the skin.

It's the product that i recommend to wear everyday because like most typical concealers' packaging which come in plastic tube, it's portable. The other reason is the thin texture which is easy to blend with brush or fingertips. It's slightly thicker than foundation but not denser, and has a mild powder scent. The coverage is light to medium, buildable and creates smooth finish.

It covers minor blemishes and fine lines. It has brightening effect that helps to highlight under eye bags and dark circle. It naturally gives them an illusion of "fresh and awake" eyes without completely eliminate them. It's good for anyone especially for them whose skin around the mouth and eyes are dry because it doesn't settle into fine lines or crack. So it will save them from being emphasized.

No big selection of this product since it comes only in 5 different shades and it's more beige in tone. You may not find the flattering shade for your skin but mix some colors will help you to get your perfect match.

MUFE Lift Concealer offers multiple benefits by hiding the signs of aging with its lightweight texture that is least likely to migrate throughout the day and cause breakouts.

Recommended for
Normal, combination, oily, sensitive and mature skin.

Make Up For Ever Face and Body Review and Swatches #24, #32, #38

Recently I got a few texts that asked me about what is the best foundation based on my opinion and experience. There are a lot of awesome foundations out there, i can not just choose one. I will review one by one. For now, here is Make Up For Ever Face and Body, one of my favourite foundations that i use daily very often. It gives a good performance on skin. 

My Skin Type: Oily. 

Product Description 

“The gel texture of the Face and Body Liquid Makeup is light, fresh and meltingly smooth. It evens out the complexion and leaves a thin layer of powder on the skin, for a very natural finish. Its long-lasting and water-resistant formula is also suited to the body. Recommended for all skin types, its light texture makes it especially suitable for mature and problem skin. Essential on vanity tables and trays, Face & Body is the ally of any nude makeup, fresh and faultless.” 

Ingredients

• 80% water
• Volatile silicon
• Pigments coated with hydrophobic properties
• Glycerin
• Mango butter
• Clinically-tested hydration levels: +37% after 1 hour, +17% after 2 hours
• Surfactant-free emulsion
• Polyols with moisture-capturing properties
• Paraben free
• Dermatologist tested

Packaging 

It is packaged in 50 ml or 1.69 fl. oz. transparent glass bottle with pump. It allows you to be able to check how much product is left but it is not suitable for traveling. Once, I inadvertently dropped one of my glass bottle foundations down to the floor and made it cracked and its contents spread all over the places. Since then, every time i want to go traveling, i use to pour the foundation from the glass bottle to a travel friendly plastic one (i will show you in another post). This product is also available in 190 ml. The professional size comes in a plastic bottle. 

Texture and Scent 
This foundation has gel-like consistency which comes out in blobs but super thin and watery. It goes like ice skate on complexion. Lightweight and smooth, you can barely tell you wear it. It gives a healthy glow to skin. Unfortunately, its fragrance does not get credit as good as its awesome texture. I personally dislike the smell of it. For me its strong perfume-powdery scent is too much for a brand like MUFE and quite annoying during the application but thankfully it goes away after the product dries. I expect this foundation is fragrance free. 

Finish and Coverage 

It leaves skin a satin finish without shimmery, very natural look. The coverage is sheer but buildable. Apply one layer you will get a sheer coverage, apply two or multiple layers you will be able to get a slightly more coverage but not full coverage. Since it is super light, it does not cover any blemishes. So if you have blemishes, you need a concealer to cover it.

This is what I like about this product, how many layers you put on your face, it will not end up cakey. But you have to be careful to add layers. To be noted, the pigment of this product begins to appear a few minutes after it dries. It means that the product will look darker one or two tones on your skin than before it is applied. Get it? ;) So if you want to buy this product, I suggest you to give it a try. 

Longevity 

It is water resistant so it is not a surprise that it lasts through the heat and humidity in climate of Indonesia. I found the longevity of this product is between 6-8 hours without primer and 8-10 hours with primer but I need to touch up a few times with powder, especially around the area where has a tendency to get oily such as T-zone or cheeks. 

Application 

You have to shake the bottle well before use it to mix the blobs up. Apply using a sponge, brush or fingers but I recommend to use a clean sponge or brush. This product feels tacky and does not sink into the skin quickly so you have to wait for 2-3 minutes until the product completely dry before mattifying it with loose powder and for body usage you have to dab off any excess after the product dries with a tissue or brush to avoid stains on clothes.

Pros

• It can be used for both face and body
• It does not feel heavy on skin
• It gives a natural finish and healthy glow
• It is easy to blend
• It lasts longer

Cons

• The packaging is not travel friendly
• The smell is unpleasant 

Conclusion 

Make For Ever Face and Body is unlike the typical foundation. This one is incredibly gentle on skin, very sheer, glides on smoothly, gives a nice sheen and does not emphasize the imperfections nor melt as the day goes by.

Recommended for

• Dry, normal to slightly oily skin (in oily skin case, you do not mind to do touch up several times)
• Who does not have major problems with complexion
• Who wants flawless complexion

Not recommended for

• Who is sensitive to its scent
• Who has major blemishes 
• Who likes full coverage

I use to apply this product only 1 layer because it is enough to covers the redness on my skin but not my pores, you still can see it. This is what natural finish looks like. Usually i put concealer under my eyes but miraculously, the darkness was gone the day when i took these pictures so i did not have to apply anything on it hahaha...

After a few minutes the color became darker and more yellow.

Make Up For Ever Aqua Rouge Liquid Lip Color Review and Swatches

 

I always be a fan of Make Up For Ever waterproof products, I think they are super brilliant. One of their aqua range that impresses me is Aqua Rouge Liquid Lip Color. It is a waterproof long lasting pigmented lip color that comes with double-ended packaging, consisting in 2 bottles with one side containing the lip color and the opposite side containing the transparent lip gloss. Lip color tube is completed with doe foot applicator and lip gloss tube is completed with brush applicator. 

 

Texture
The texture of this product is lightweight and creamy. The lip color is matte finish whereas the lip gloss is shiny finish. It is not a secret that common long lasting lip color products usually have dryness texture, this one dries but it does not dehydrate the lips. When it dries, it feels sticky - especially when you press your lips together. Well, if i have to describe the stickiness, i would say it is not like the lip gloss kind of sticky but it is more like dry kind of sticky. That is why they provides the gloss to smooth out the texture and creates lacquered effect finish so your lips will not look patchy.

Swatches

In this summer 2013, MUFE added five new colorful stunning shades in MUFE Aqua Rouge Lip Color. The colors as follows:

• #16 Fuchsia
• #17 Bright Orange
• #18 Coral
• #19 Pomegranate Pink
• #20 Baby Pink

Application

It can be tricky to apply this product because it is very easy to dry. So you need to apply it quickly. Prepare your lips with lip balm or lip conditioner or whatever to moisture your lips before you put the lip color. If you do not want to get messy, i suggest you to use lip liner first, after that apply the lip color to the inner part of lips and blend outward, finish your step with the lip gloss as top coat. You can build up the color by applying layer by layer to get the desire effect, i like to apply it 2 layers before lip gloss. Since it is sticky and flaky when it gets dry, i suggest you to always wear the clear gloss on top.

Longevity and removal
It holds up pretty well. It does not budge and stick in your teeth. The gloss would be faded but the lip color remains for all day even if you are eating and drinking, except the greasy foods. The greasy foods makes the lip color budge in the center of lips. You might need to reapply the lip color just a little bit to inner parts of your lips and add the gloss to entire lips, it is the way to the lip color looks great as the day progress. To remove the lip color simply use make up remover on a cotton pad. It can not be removed by tissue, only oil based cleanser can handle it.

Conclusion
Aqua Rouge Liquid Lip Color is a lip product that will not transfer or fade as long as you do not consume greasy food. It lasts for entire day and intense in color. I do not recommend this product for daily use because it takes time in application and touch up if you do not use to it. But if you are looking for a red lipstick that will not budge and stick in your teeth - this is the kind of lip color that you want to brighten your smile. It stays put in water and under the sun makes it ideal for holiday and dating because it is also kissproof hhahahha. :D

Make Up For Ever So Divine

To remove make up that we wear all day, of course we need a cleanser. Whatever it is - it has to work well in lifting the dirt from the face without drying the skin or clog the pores. 

I feel so blessed I found this product when I learned make up in Make Up For Ever a few years ago and I have been using it ever since. This is called “So Divine”, a mineral oil-free cream that cleanses away all impurities, including waterproof make up. It is dermatological tested on sensitive skin, non comedogenic and paraben-free.

I love the packaging and the smell as well. All I have to do is just squeeze it from the tube – very easy. The smell is like fruit. I love any kind of products that smell good. It brings the good emotion to me whenever I use it. 

It is a good product to try, especially for people with dry skin because it hydrates and moisturizes the skin. Although, I have an oily skin, I still think this product is the best because it makes my skin feel soft without eliminates the moisture from the skin and it does not feel greasy at all. I had tried some cleanser products before and I can say that they did not meet my expectation – some are very oily and others either blog my pores or dry my skin. So Divine is bit pricey IDR. 430.000,-, but nothing is good comes with low price, right? ;)
