Make Up For Ever Aqua Rouge Liquid Lip Color Review and Swatches

 

I always be a fan of Make Up For Ever waterproof products, I think they are super brilliant. One of their aqua range that impresses me is Aqua Rouge Liquid Lip Color. It is a waterproof long lasting pigmented lip color that comes with double-ended packaging, consisting in 2 bottles with one side containing the lip color and the opposite side containing the transparent lip gloss. Lip color tube is completed with doe foot applicator and lip gloss tube is completed with brush applicator. 

 

Texture
The texture of this product is lightweight and creamy. The lip color is matte finish whereas the lip gloss is shiny finish. It is not a secret that common long lasting lip color products usually have dryness texture, this one dries but it does not dehydrate the lips. When it dries, it feels sticky - especially when you press your lips together. Well, if i have to describe the stickiness, i would say it is not like the lip gloss kind of sticky but it is more like dry kind of sticky. That is why they provides the gloss to smooth out the texture and creates lacquered effect finish so your lips will not look patchy.

In this summer 2013, MUFE added five new colorful stunning shades in MUFE Aqua Rouge Lip Color. The colors as follows:

Application

It can be tricky to apply this product because it is very easy to dry. So you need to apply it quickly. Prepare your lips with lip balm or lip conditioner or whatever to moisture your lips before you put the lip color. If you do not want to get messy, i suggest you to use lip liner first, after that apply the lip color to the inner part of lips and blend outward, finish your step with the lip gloss as top coat. You can build up the color by applying layer by layer to get the desire effect, i like to apply it 2 layers before lip gloss. Since it is sticky and flaky when it gets dry, i suggest you to always wear the clear gloss on top.

Longevity and removal
It holds up pretty well. It does not budge and stick in your teeth. The gloss would be faded but the lip color remains for all day even if you are eating and drinking, except the greasy foods. The greasy foods makes the lip color budge in the center of lips. You might need to reapply the lip color just a little bit to inner parts of your lips and add the gloss to entire lips, it is the way to the lip color looks great as the day progress. To remove the lip color simply use make up remover on a cotton pad. It can not be removed by tissue, only oil based cleanser can handle it.

Conclusion
Aqua Rouge Liquid Lip Color is a lip product that will not transfer or fade as long as you do not consume greasy food. It lasts for entire day and intense in color. I do not recommend this product for daily use because it takes time in application and touch up if you do not use to it. But if you are looking for a red lipstick that will not budge and stick in your teeth - this is the kind of lip color that you want to brighten your smile. It stays put in water and under the sun makes it ideal for holiday and dating because it is also kissproof hhahahha. :D

ZAP Skin Analysis

DDG i come back with ZAP but this times i am not going to talk about the hair removal. Do you know beside hair removal, they have a few treatments for your beauty need completed with the skin care products in their beauty center???

As technology advance, beauty clinics offer a lot of choices of treatment. Sometimes we get confused to choose which one is perfect for our skin problem. It is useless if we take the treatment which basically we do not need at all. Unlike the other beauty clinic, here in ZAP, you will be helped to determine what kind of treatments you need by meeting their doctor first to do consultation and skin analysis before and after treatment and it is free. Sounds interesting, does not it? ;) That is why i visited their beauty center at Woltermongonsidi last week to make this review. I was accompanied by their marketing staff, Miss. Disty, lucky me to have conversation with her, she was very friendly and informative - even she was fasting, she still offered me to drink and eat the snack they served for me during the interview - i felt awry....

Skin Analyzer
What is it? It is a certified device to analyze your skin condition before and after treatment accurately. With this technology you will know what your skin type and condition, it helps you to determine the type of treatments and measure the progress of the treatment.

Some of us might be so over confident with our skin condition - from outside your skin might look bright, smooth, tight, etc. - seems like no problem whatsoever - but who knows what is going on below the surface????. This made me curious to try. I wanted to know what will the device say about my skin condition.

During the skin analysis process

The skin analysis took about 5 minutes or less...The process was so simple, easy and quick. I just put my head on skin analyzer and the doctor did "scanning". Below you can read my explanation about my skin analysis result.

 

My skin analysis result

On that picture, you see there are 7 columns of my face; 4 columns in white light (left) and 3 columns in blue light (right), and the green dots on face. The 4 columns are the epidermis condition (outer layer of skin) including spot, pore, roughness/dead skin cells, and wrinkle. The 3 columns are the tendency of skin condition that will be happened below the epidermis if we do not take care of our skin, including UV acne, UV spot and UV moisture. The green dots are the areas of the skin problem/condition. For example UV acne (see the column) - there is no acne on my face but i tend to have it on my forehead, nose and cheeks (if i do not take care of my skin).

According to the graph, my spot 29%, pore 96%, roughness 97%, wrinkle 57%, UV acne 78%, UV spot 29%, UV moisture 84%. I was shocked to see pore and roughness percentage because so far i thought i did not have problem with it but i was wrong.
Doctor Fitri said that according to my age, my skin condition categorized as fine (i was a bit relief to hear this) and the treatment that i need the most is peeling. Since my skin is sensitive and thin (that is what the dermatologists always told me) - honestly, i seldom do peeling - used to avoid it - i thought i did not need it. Since everything was shown on my skin analysis i could not make any excuse to avoid it hahahhaha.

ZAP Permanent Hair Removal

I feel like I need to share my experience with ZAP, not because it is sponsored.. no no no… I already finished my underarm treatment long time ago.. and I want to write about it because I was satisfied with the result.

Before ZAP, I tried hair removal treatment about seven years ago with laser but i forgot the name of the laser in one of the most well known beauty center in Indonesia (i am not going to mention the name of that clinic) and i was really really disappointed because my underarm skin irritated and compared to ZAP the price was more expensive. The process that they did began with exfoliating my skin with scrub, after that they directly laser the area where i wanted my hair removed without any shaving cream, cooling or protection gel or whatever applied before and after the process.

Around year 2009 or 2010 i searched for hair removal treatment on internet then i found ZAP, i decided to try. Back then, they only did home service - now they grows big - they have a few outlets in Jakarta and another town. I have fallen in love with it since the first treatment. There is hair that you do not expect grow in several parts of your face and body where they offer to remove but i only took treatment on armpit first to see how was the result – and boom – they proved it worked - my underarm hair 90% does not grow back - 10% hair growth is baby hair. And now i am in the process of brazillian. Below you can see the treatment room and me before zaping. Since my treatment is brazillian where is in a private area so i can not show you here.

Well, seems like i am too excited with a long intro :)

I believe everyone knows about ZAP – it is kinda famous nowadays, but for you who does not know about ZAP yet - well, allow me introduce it for you. 

What is ZAP?

ZAP is permanent hair removal treatment specialist, using IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) technology that has passed Quality Inspection and has international recognized certificate (USA FDA and or CE approved). ZAP Indonesia is maintained and directed by a consultant from Australia to ensure ZAP able to provide International Standard Treatment and Services.

Who can have ZAP?

Everyone, male or Female who wants to remove their unwanted hair as long as not pregnant, blonde(born with blonde hair) and under 17 years old. IPL does not work for blonde hair. There is a minimum age to do this treatment, which is 17 years old – why? – because under 17 years old, your hormone are still unstable. What about the maximum age? – no limitation for maximum age.

What areas can be treated?

All areas of face and body but not in eyes area.

The preparation before zaping 

• No plucking, waxing, hair-removal creams, tweezing or electrolysis for 2 weeks before treatment
• Avoid sun exposure and tanning products for 2 weeks before treatment or always use SPF 30 (UVA / UVB) sun block every time you go outdoors
•  Remove all make-up and lotions

The process of zaping

• First, therapist will clean the area where you want to have the treatment 
• Second, your unwanted hair will be shaved with a new razor 
• After shaving, therapist will apply “after shaving balm” on that area and a cooling gel to protect your skin
• Then you have to put the glasses they provide to protect your eyes from IPL ray
• After that, therapist will start do zaping by lighting the area with IPL - for you who have not tried laser kinda things before, you may get surprise - (like Indonesian always says "kayak digigit semut") it feels like bitten by ant or stung :D
• After zaping, the area of zaping will be cleaned and given “after shaving balm” 
• The process of zapping will take 30 seconds to hour, depends on the area of the body being treated and density of the hair

After zaping

• Avoid bathing in hot water and swimming for 48 hour
• Avoid sun exposure and tanning products for 2 weeks after treatment
• Since your hair grows in intervals of 3 cycles, between one treatment to the next treatment you have to wait 6 weeks. In these six weeks you are not allowed to pluck or wax the hair on the area which is being treated, if it is necessary you can shave it or do not do anything at all in order to achieve the desired result

How many treatment will I need?

Well, this is not a magic, do not expect miracle with one treatment everything (unwanted hair) will be gone… No no no, everything takes time so with this one. For permanent hair reduction, typically 5-8 treatments are needed. After those sessions, if your hair still grow (grow but less, the texture will be thinner, and it will grow slower) - you might still need a touch up treatment once in 3 month, 6 month or 1 year until the desired result is achieved.

My experience with underarm treatment took 12x sessions and I did touch up 2x times - total 14x sessions. My sister and my friends took less than 12x session, one only had 7x, other had 10x, and there is person who had more than 12x treatments. How come? Because everyone has different body and hormone level.

What about the hygiene?

Do not worry, they use disposable razor for shaving and use it just once - they will not use the same razor for different clients. IPL device will be cleaned after doing treatment.

 

Pros

• Cheaper if you take package (like pay for 4x treatment you will get 1x treatment free or pay 6x + free 2x treatments)
• Home service
• It does not irritate the skin
• Reduce underarm odor
• Safe
• The price is affordable
• The result is satisfying
• The therapists are friendly and informative

Cons

• For home service - the gel is not cold
• It does not make armpit skin whiter
• It does not remove the ingrown hair
• It does not work for blonde hair

Conclusion

ZAP is a hair removal expert. If you are looking for permanent hair removal, i suggest you to go to ZAP - believe me - you will not go to the wrong place. Where else you can remove your unwanted hair with affordable price, excellent result, good service and you can have wherever you want, just call and make an appointment - they will come to your place.
