Benefit the POREfessional Review + Pictures

The POREfessional (travel size)

Cannot be denied the presence of primer plays an important role in creating a perfect base before applying foundation, keeping make up fresh and stay put, and helping even out skin imperfections. Today, the product that i am going to review claims that it can minimize the appearance of pores and fine lines for smoother skin. I bet all of you know what i am talking about - yes – who does not know Benefit the POREfessional. Let’s prove what the product claims about itself.

The POREfessional comes in a plastic squeeze tube with a small nozzle. I like the packaging because i can control the amount of product that i want to distribute. A small amount of product is enough to prime my whole face.

The texture is lightweight brownish balm with a floral scent. My sister said it looks like peanut butter but paler – it does look alike – does not it?  hahahaha. I cannot keep my hands off of my face once it is applied, it leaves my skin super silky, soft and matte finish. Although, the texture is matte, it does not look powdery like Revlon PhotoReady Perfecting Primer. It is transparent and will vanish when it is blended into the skin, makes it suitable for all skin tones. The silky texture of the POREfessional helps foundation blend easier.

This primer fills the pores, wrinkles and fine lines makes them slightly difference in their appearance but it does not make them completely disappear. It contains oil free formula but it does not have oil control. It means that it does not reduce the production of oil on your face. If you have been following my blog, you know that I have oily skin. I found that my T-zone and cheeks still get shiny after a few hours wearing it, so I do as recommended which is patching the product lightly on the top of my make up on the problem areas. This primer does a fantastic job, it resmooths the skin without smears the make up.

Overall, I do love working with the POREfessional. Besides to mattify skin, it also helps to minimize textural issues, which pores, wrinkles, or fine lines can sometimes contribute to, and it helps make up application become more easy and quick.

ZAP Photo Facial Review + Pictures

ZAP Photo Facial

Some of you might think that i have been lost but no - i am just being super busy lately - spend most of my time working and i forgot about my commitment about blogging. Could not be more excited now as i come back and bring a good news for beauty addicts who are craving for the presence of painless high-tech beauty treatment among all the traditional facials which forcibly extract the blackheads/whiteheads and pimples from the skin. I know you are bored with all the suffered process most of facial treatments give that can irritate and possibly damage your complexion - so do i. Why we have to feel the pain if there is another way to get prettier without getting through discomfort process, right? Let me share my first experience of getting a Photo Facial treatment in ZAP with you.

On my previous article about ZAP Skin Analysis, I mentioned this Photo Facial treatment but that time I did not have opportunity for trying it. Well, it must be familiar on your ears. For you who does not have any idea about it – it is a beauty treatment that can improve the condition of skin from the outer layer to the epidermis, using a special technology based on international standard. Photo Facial combines 4 modern methods in 1 treatment which are: Radiation, Laser, Serum and Oxygen Spray.

Below I will explain each step of the process.

Before treatment, i met doctor Fitri to have skin care consultation. She analyzed my skin with Skin Analyzer in order to provide the ideal treatment for my skin. The result of the test was not pretty much different with the skin analysis i did a few months ago. You can see it here. ZAP Skin Analysis

According to the result of skin analysis, my skin type is oily, my pores are quite big, i start to have wrinkles, i have tendency to get pimples if i do not take care my skin frequently. Overall, dr. Fitri categorized my skin as quite "nice" on my age - but i did not like to hear "nice" while i saw graph showed that I am getting age. A bit irritating but it was also a good thing for me to more concern about my complexion. I do not want to look 40’s on my 30’s. Well, let’s skip about this “aging” conversation… I will end up make you bored, won’t i? hahahha….

Back to the treatment, it began by cleansing the surface of my skin. After that, my eyes were protected by eye-guard. Then doctor started to do a radiation (read the correction below) to stimulate the regeneration of collagen and brighten skin tone. In this process, i felt a slight stinging sensation but it did not hurt at all and it quickly faded once the treatment had finished.

Next step, my face was given a “Special Formulated Gel”; a cooling gel that will protect skin from heat during the laser process (read the correction below). You must wonder is it the same device they use for hair removal treatment and what does it feel to have that laser on your face. I have to tell you that it is the same laser but the sensation of having it was completely different. Honestly, I felt nothing ;) not even shocked hahaha.

A “Special Formulated Gel” was cleansed after laser. Then therapist applied serum to my face. Serum will be given according to the skin type of the patient. If you ever had peeling – you know that if the serum works, your face will feel itchy. So that was I felt. Following serum, a masker and pure Oxygen spray were performed. Giving pure oxygen to the face helps serum absorbed completely by the skin. I could not feel any better, the Oxygen spray blew my mind away – it calmed and soothed my skin.

The Photo Facial finished by applying anti-irritation cream and sunblock. All the process took about 30 – 35 minutes. After just one treatment i could feel that my skin is healthy and clean, more radiant and noticeably smoother.

The benefits of ZAP Photo Facial:
  • Reduces acne and acne spots, uneven skin tone due to sun exposure, black spots due to sun exposure, brown spots due to age, fine wrinkles
  • Improves the enlarged pores
  • Stimulates the regeneration of collagen

Guides that should be done before, during, and after treatment:
Pre treatment
  • Avoid sun exposure or tanning minimum 2 weeks before treatment
  • Use sunscreen SPF 30 or more (UVA / UVB) for outdoor activities
On the treatment process
  • Wear special glasses that have been provided to avoid the glare due to radiation and laser
 Post treatment
  • Avoid sun exposure or tanning 2 weeks after treatment
  • Avoid swimming or bathing with hot water 2 days after treatment
  • Use sunscreen SPF 30 or more (UVA / UVB) for outdoor activities

Overall, ZAP Photo Facial is designed to accommodate all skin conditions and types. It uses a technology which can help to achieve the maximum benefit. It cleans and exfoliates to remove oil, surface dirt and debris trapped deeper in the skin. It brightens and rejuvenates skin, enhances skin renewal while infusing the skin with nutrients. A great choice to soften fine lines, smooth skin texture, clear acne, and reduce hyperpigmentation.
