Urban Decay 24/7 Glide On Eye Pencil "Ransom" Review and Swatches

I guess we all agree that Urban Decay knows how to throw spark in our eyes through its 24/7 Glide On Eye Pencil that has a large selection of color from metallic bright fun to wearable natural shade like matte brown, copper or black. They provide 40 permanent colors and sometimes they launch a few brand new limited edition colors mixed with permanent colors in set. We can choose any attractive shade that we want to play as well as the finish. I was captivated by the beauty of Ransom, its bright purple with pink and blue reflection is unique and cute but sad news for you who haven't seen or tried this color because it's discontinued from their permanent line.

Ransom is not sparkling, not exactly matte either. The pigment is sheer and it needs to be layered to build the intensity. It has waxy texture that glides on lids easy. And it feels comfortable to wear in waterline. It can be smudged before drying.

Thing to be noted -  some eye pencil products on the market are really easy to transfer (usually the drug stores product) and some are not. And Urban Decay 24/7 Glide On Pencil is categorized as the product that has great staying power especially under the normal circumstances. But for some people who have crazy greasy eyelids like mine, we always have problem with any eyeliner pencils. Whatever the brand that we use -  it tends to drag into eyelids or lower lash lines. But how messy the transfer is, it depends on the quality of the product itself. The migration of Ransom is not that messy compare to Etude Styling Eyeliner.

In this case, i have tips for people with oily lids. Do not wear eyeliner pencil by itself. You can improve its longevity by applying it over a good eye primer.

Chanel Rouge Allure Velvet #38 La Fascinante Review & Swatches

This rainy season changes the game of beauty look. My current mood is red lips and my favorite one (in this season) is Chanel Rouge Allure Velvet 38 La Fascinante.

Chanel Rouge Allure Velvet has different case from most lipsticks’ packaging in the market. This one attracts the beauty hunter with its “click” opener, you can simply press the bottom side of the lipstick (where the Chanel Logo is in) to open the case. The "click" case plus gold and black color makes the product look sleek and classy. The other thing that you can’t resist is the nice smell, it’s not strong but it’s very addictive - i can smell it all day ;).

La Fascinante is blue-based red with berry undertones. On the tube, the color looks darker (looks like browny red) than on the lips. As their claim, the texture is velvet, smooth, and lightweight. Don't get surprised with the finish. It's a matte lipstick but you won't get a flat matte - it's another kind of  matte - it reflects light. It applies a bit shiny for the first few minutes, but after it dries it will look semi matte.

For a fairly pricey lipstick, it will let you down because it lacks substantial staying power compared to some other true mattes like MAC Retro Mattes. I found the product was still quite intact after three - four hours without having greasy food, a lot of drink or talking.

Conclusion

For me, La Fascinante is pretty - i love how it looks, it feels and smells. Although, the color is not super fantastic or unique, it looks muted and wearable on lips, unlike the other matte products that look statement and fake. It's kinda shade that you can wear everyday as it yields a pigmented stain in one swipe - so you can achieve not "so bold" look and its formula is easy to work with + it doesn't dry lips. For whoever with chapped lips and look for matte lipstick - i would recommend this product - it's a holy grail - you still get the matte look without need to prepare your lips with balm which often defeats the look of a matte and your dry lips saved from being emphasized.

Some of you may walk in my shoes, living beauty, sleeping beauty and breathing beauty. There are some steps that i have to go through everyday before starting my activity, what else if not 'Beauty Regimen'. From moisturizer, sunblock, eye cream, primer to foundation - this kind of morning madness makes me crazy. Another challenge for me is to find a tinted moisturizer that works best for my oily skin. I want natural looking complexion without looking too matte or greasy but still get kind of hydration that doesn't clog my pores. If this product is your first TM, do not surprise with its formula that feels and smells like sunscreen as it has broad spectrum SPF 20 properties on it. It's thick, slick, and sticky but it doesn't feel heavy at all once the product is on.

Although it claims as oil-free but it doesn't leave complexion matte and dull, whereas it gives natural sheen finish (not too dewy) which i love. Unfortunately, i found my face getting away too shiny after quite some time of wearing it. Apply the product sparingly and add a translucent powder on top of it will help this situation.

It moisturizes and events out my skin tone with minimal coverage. It can be built up to achieve more coverage without looking cakey. It does not completely hide minor blemishes and dark circle. So, to cover them i use a light concealer to keep my skin looking as natural as possible.
 
To apply this TM is really easy, you can choose to use your clean fingers or a stippling brush but make sure to put it evenly or you will wind the product up clumping. The staying power isn't as long as a full on foundation, it wears off throughout the day especially on my T area.

Jika produk ini adalah TM pertama yang kamu punya, jangan heran dengan formulanya yang terasa dan berbau seperti tabir surya karena mengandung SPF broad spektrum 20 di dalamnya. Teksturnya sendiri tebal, licin, dan lengket namun tidak terasa berat sama sekali ketika dipakai.

Meskipun produk ini mengklaim bebas minyak namun tidak memberikan tampilan kulit matte dan kusam tetapi sebaliknya dia memberikan hasil yang benar-benar saya suka yakni natural bercahaya (tidak terlalu mengkilap). Sayangnya, (menurut pengalaman) wajah saya menjadi terlalu mengkilap setelah beberapa jam memakai produk ini. Gunakan produk sedikit saja dan tambahkan bedak tabur translucent di atasnya akan membantu memecahkan masalah tersebut.

TM ini melembabkan dan meratakan warna kulit saya dengan daya tutup/coverage yang sangat minimal. Dapat digunakan layer demi layer untuk mendapatkan coverage yang lebih tanpa terlihat cakey. Produk ini tidak sepenuhnya menyembunyikan noda-noda ringan di wajah dan lingkaran gelap di bawah mata. Jadi, untuk menutupinya saya menggunakan concealer yang ringan agar kulit saya terlihat sealami mungkin.

Untuk menggunakan TM ini sangatlah mudah, kamu bisa memilih memakai jari yang bersih atau stippling brush tapi pastikan untuk mengoleskannya secara merata atau kamu akan membuat produk jadi menggumpal. Everybody wants perfection but nobody's perfect. We try to cover up flaws in various ways, one of them is with concealer. Concealer is used not only as a magic wand to hide or minimize the appearance of blemishes, under eye puffiness, scars, skin discolorations, or other areas of the skin that look less than flawless, it can be used to improve the appearance of features too. There is no reason not to love and play with it but don't go with the wrong product - instead of making the problem areas that you want to hide look better - you may attract attention to it.

There are lot of things going on with our skin after a certain age, we want to conceal imperfections without looking like have little patches dotted over the face. It's the product that i recommend to wear everyday because like most typical concealers' packaging which come in plastic tube, it's portable.
